be family-friendly, jovial, and generally respectful – the kind of
cartoons that
appear in Reader’s Digest. The intent is not to challenge
or offend,
but to
make the reader laugh.

on the
other hand, should be sardonic, sarcastic,
or satirical, and related to the political appeasement and Dhimm-witted
idiocy that has bloomed since
the cartoon war began.
Making fun of Quislings in the media or government and those who kill
because of cartoons is most
appropriate for this category.

would
be like those
of Dante (examples), who placed Mohammed squarely in
hell,

hanging out. These are the kind that celebrate the freedom of the press

belief, and are not concerned with "offending" people who can't take
a joke or defend their beliefs with persuasion. (See examples)

The
Esteemed Mr. Bean Prize
For best
paper on the topic:
“Humor
in the New Testament and the Koran.”
Recently the beloved
Mr. Bean gave a speech in defense
of religious jokes, called "Every Joke Has a Victim."
It
should be required reading for those
queasy politicians who would
trample liberty in order to appease fanaticism. For this prize, the
winning essay
will be under 10,000 words, in or
translated
into English, and one that answers the question with the best
theological,
philosophical and historical arguments. Any sources must be noted and
the writing
must be clear and organized See more about the themes and
expectations for this
novel Essay contest as well as entry details.

The
Munch-Nielsen Medal
for
best original joke
Any joke
submitted must
be original, under 200 words (no minimum), and somehow related
to Islam or Mohammed. For this category no overly crude or explicitly
pornographic
entry will be considered. Jokes that may
offend however,
are fine, as long as they are funny – funny being the main
criteria by
which the jokes will be judged. (Note: laughyourheadoff.org has the
right to
summarily decide what is and what is not crude, pornographic and/or
funny. The proverbial "crossed line" is often hard to know.) See
Rules for all entry
requirements. (See Jokes)
