"I understand how this particular drawing could be construed as legitimizing a general hatred towards Muslims, though that was certainly not my intent.  My philosophy is quite simple: unless you yourself are a jihadist, or harbor sympathies for them, their actions, and their agenda, then you have no reason to be offended.  As I would not take umbrage at being privy to criticisms of the KKK or National Socialism--not being a white supremacist or a fascist--I would not expect a Muslim--who wasn’t an infidel-hating proponent of building an Islamic Caliphate on the smoldering bones of Western Civilization--to take serious objection to any portrayal of Islamic jihadists as anything less than blood-lusting maniacs.  The Muhammad that I have choosen to depict is not a Muhammad of my creation.  It is the image of Muhammad conjured up by the likes of Osama Bin Laden, Abu Musab Al Zarqawi and the rest of those sundry media-whore psychopaths who demonically ululate "God is Great" while sawing through their hapless victims' necks; and it *is* the image of Muhammad borne out by historical fact.  Before any concerned party elects to take issue with this image, I suggest they take up their objections to Messers Bin Laden and Zarqawi, and then take a long hard look at the catalogue of catastrophes commited by, and done in the name of, the prophet Muhammad."
